Oscar Bernhardt’s Charleston Charlies, Wed 22nd May,10am

There’s never a dull moment with Cheeky Charlie around!  A shining example of true musical performance, with lashings of warmth, sparkle and charm.  Swing and jazz from the thirties and forties are their speciality.

Little Oboe Trio, Fri 24th May, 2pm
Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital
Formed at the RNCM in December 2012, these first year students will play a varied programme from classical through to old family favourites. They hope that you will enjoy the music on offer and won’t be too afraid to sing or clap along and have fun joining in!

Avidity Brass Quintet, Wed 29 May, 10am
Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital
This quintet of 2nd and 3rd years at the RNCM takes its names from one of their favorourite pieces for quintet. Today they’ll play a blast of brassy classics for your enjoyment!

Chris Layhe, Mon 3rd June, 10am
Royal Eye Hospital
Singer/guitarist and founder member of the eighties pop group ‘The Icicle Works’, Chris will perform a wide variety of covers from the sixties up until the present day, with his own unique twist.

Daphnis Duo, Wed 5th June, 3pm
RMCH
Holly and Alice, flute and harp, are back again to share a beautifully uplifting programme ranging from the unusual to the familiar.

Emma Smith & Alastair Penman, Wed 12th June, 10am
St. Mary’s
Alastair and Emma are a saxophone and guitar duo, both studying postgraduate degrees at the RNCM. They will be playing a varied selection of soothing arrangements of classical favourites!

Deli Babies, Mon 24th June, 10am
MRI Outpatients, reception and clinic areas
Ros and Mark are CMFT’s music for health specialists working at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and training musicians for work in hospital settings. Today we hear them playing an enlivening programme of Greek and Klezmer music in reception and then improvised music in the clinic waiting areas.

Robin Sunflower and Daniel Blomeley,
Thurs 27th June, 10am

Robin and Danny are a vibrant duo featuring harmonicas of various sizes, voice and guitar they cook up rhythms, tunes and songs  that will get audiences happily engaged and tapping their toes.

Sura Susso, Wed 3rd July, 2pm
RMCH
Sura’s family have been custodians of Mandinka stories and songs over centuries, passing down the art of the Kora (West African harp) from father to son. One of the most exciting young West African musicians in the UK, Sura will take you on a journey through time from the past to the present, with hope for the future!
